Student Starts Program to Collect Prom Items for Girls

A high school girl saw a need, and is doing something about it. You can help.

Madeline Dolan, a student at Shrewsbury High School, saw a need and decided to respond by helping. Dolan became aware that some high school girls in Central Massachusetts were unable to attend their prom because they couldn't afford it, quite frankly.

Donations are needed by early April, when there will be an event called "One Enchanted Evening," where girls can try on shoes, dresses and accessories for their special day.

"The goal of the project is to promote self-confidence for high school girls by providing them with free gowns for their high school prom," said the press release. "We hope to continue this project for years to come."
