Superintendent Reminds Parents of Fiscal Public Hearing
The School Committee will hold a public hearing on the recommended Fiscal Year 2018 Budget during its meeting on March 1 in Shrewsbury.
From the Superintendent of Shrewsbury Public Schools: This is a reminder that the School Committee is holding a public hearing on the recommended Fiscal Year 2018 Budget during its meeting on Wednesday night, March 1. The budget hearing portion of the meeting is scheduled to take place at 8:00pm. You can find my recommended budget at this link, a summary slide presentation here, and an update on the current budget gap here. The School Committee and the School Department administration welcome your comments and questions at this hearing.
The March 1 School Committee meeting, which begins at 7:00pm, will be held in the Selectmen's Room at Town Hall and will be broadcast live on SELCO Channels 29/329 and streamed live on the web on the Shrewsbury Media Connection website. Other agenda items include accepting a grant to promote school gardens, a report from the SHS Student Advisory Committee, a vote on the 2017-18 school calendar, a report on the curriculum and technology budgets, and a discussion and recommendation regarding fees and tuitions for 2017-2018.
