Town Clean Up Thank You

We would like to thank the members of the Shrewsbury Community who volunteered on Saturday, April 12, 2014 to help beatify the town during the Annual Town Clean Up day.

They came together to pick up litter, rake leafs, and remove debris in parks, schools, roadsides, boat ramps, ponds, and public areas across Shrewsbury.

Thank you to the following groups and families who helped out this year:

Lake Quinsigamond Watershed Association, Earth Stewardship Program from the First Congregational Church, Cub Scout Pack 62, Girl Scout Troop 30930, Girl Scout Troop 11571, Girl Scout Troop 31331, Girl Scout Troop 30143, Parker Road Preschool PTO, Boy Scout Troop 114, Eric Craft, Elizabeth Costa & Family, Monahan Family, Jill Audette, Al Hambra School, King Family, Heidi Sardinha and Neighbors, Shrewsbury Little League Coaches, Fran Manella, and Spring Street School 4th graders.

Thank you also to the many individual families who joined in to help as well.

Over 150 people lent a hand and helped collect over 200 bags of trash, bottles, used clothing, sleds, and other trash items.  The Town of Shrewsbury is thankful for these willing volunteers to help keep our community clean.
