VIDEO: Stop & Shop Re-Opens

Store Manager Mike Bussell hosted a grand re-opening at the store last week.

"Every few years we freshen up the store and make renovations," Bussell said. "We have a large, fresh seafood area offering more sushi, a newly expanded butcher and we added more aisles to the frozen food section."

Bussell invited town officials including the selectmen, Town Manager Dan Morgado and Worcester County Food Bank Director of Programs and Operations Lois Maitland Paire, who receives many food and monetary donations from the store throughout the year.

"On behalf of the Worcester County Food Bank, I would like to thank stop and shop for many years of a partnership. I'm a little overwhelmed that you're thanking us for our support of the Stop & Shop," Maitland Paire said. "The Worcester County Food Bank has been providing food assistance for 30 years. Throughout that time, Stop & Shop has been one of those loyal supporters."

Also on hand was the Finz, the mascot of the Worcester Sharks.
