• License Agreement For Expansion Of Geotubes Along The Sconset Bluff… (nantucketcurrent.com) — A major coastal protection decision is looming for Siasconset, as Nantucket’s Select Board unanimously backed a stricter license agreement to allow expanding the geotube erosion-control system along the Sconset Bluff, but left the final word to Town Meeting voters. The deal would force the Sconset Beach Preservation Fund to post about $9 million in contingency funds, secure property-owner consent, and support alternative access if Baxter Road is lost, amid ongoing controversy over environmental impacts and past compliance issues.
