12 Somerville Restaurants Make Boston Mag's 'Best Of' List

SOMERVILLE, MA — Boston Magazine is out with its Best of Boston 2019 list, which recognizes the best in arts, culture, dining, shopping and more that the area has to offer. The list includes 69 area eateries, five industry professionals and five bars. A dozen of this year's honorees are from Somerville.

Here are the Somerville restaurants and industry professionals named the "Best Of" in 2019, according to Boston Magazine:

1. Best Thai: Dakzen, 195 Elm St.
2. Best Middle Eastern/Eastern Mediterranean: Sarma, 249 Pearl St.
3. Best Mexican: Tu y Yo, 858 Broadway
4. Best South American: Celeste, 21 Bow St.
5. Best Food Truck: Pennypacker's, 514C Medford St.
6. Best Pop-Up Restaurant: Nightshade
7. Best Tasting Menu: Tasting Counter, 14 Tyler St.
8. Best Ramen: Tsurumen, 420 Highland Ave.
9. Best Pizza: Dragon Pizza, 233 Elm St.
10. Best Butcher: M.F. Dulock, 201A Highland Ave.
11. Best Sommelier: Lauren Friel, Rebel Rebel, One Bow Market Way
12. Best Up-and-Coming Chef: Ellie Tiglao, Tanám, One Bow Market Way
