2-Alarm Fire In Somerville Brought Under Control
Emergency crews responded to a fire on Merriam Street Monday afternoon.
SOMERVILLE, MA — A two-alarm fire in Somerville was quickly brought under control Monday. "Heavy" flames were seen coming from the third floor of a building on the 100 block of Merriam Street shortly after 2 p.m., the fire department said.
The fire was knocked down without any injuries, the Somerville News Weekly reported. All residents were evacuated.
