2 Men Arrested for Armed Robbery in Somerville
A man was robbed at gunpoint while walking along Beacon Street.

Police in Somerville say two suspects were arrested in connection to an armed robbery which took place on Beacon Street last Thursday.
Abner Bernadeau, 18, of Waltham, and Joekeem Nelson, 20, of Cambridge, were arrested just after 3:30 p.m. in Cambridge on July 30 after allegedly robbing a man with a loaded gun in Somerville just minutes earlier.
The victim, who police did not identify, says he was walking along Beacon Street when a black car drove up alongside him and stopped. The victim says he saw one of the suspects pull a loaded gun from a backpack through the carās window.

According to the victim, Nelson loaded the gun, pointed it at the man, and then demanded money. The victim handed over $250 in cash, but he was able to document the carās license plate number.
After informing police of the carās plate number, officers spotted the suspects traveling in Cambridge. Upon searching the car, a loaded handgun was recovered.

Both Bernadeau and Nelson were arrested at the sceneĀ and charged.
