The project will result in Beacon Street closures Sunday into Monday.

SOMERVILLE, MA — Beacon Street will be closed between Somerville Avenue and Sacramento Street from 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30 through 5 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1. During the closure, northbound traffic will be detoured along Park Street to Somerville Avenue, with local traffic allowed on Beacon Street up to Sacramento Street.

Southbound vehicles will be detoured at Somerville Avenue to Park Street.

These temporary traffic impacts are necessary to allow crews to pave along Beacon Street, MassDOT said. Signs, law enforcement details, and advanced message boards will be in place.
