'Veggie Crust', Meatless Pizza Shop, Opens Today in Somerville

Pardon, pepperoni partakers. Sorry, sausage seekers. Maybe later, meatball munchers.

Veggie Crust, a meatless pizza shop, opened Thursday in Somerville. The pizzeria says it is 100 percent vegetarian with vegan options.

Veggie Crust is located at 445 Somerville Ave., right next to sister shop Dosa N Curry. The space was formerly that of A4 Restaraunt, an award-winning pizzeria.

The menu consists of vegetarian pizza topping such as paneer tikka barbecue (barbeque sauce, marinated paneer, red onion, fresh cilantro, fresh garlic, fresh ginger, without red sauce) and garden vegetable (Broccoli, summer squash, zucchini, onion, jalapeno, green/red pepper, fresh basil, Gaeta olives, marinara, fresh garlic and fresh ginger) as well as salads, juices, and vegan "nice cream." Veggie Crust is open Sunday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-11 p.m., and it stays open until midnight on Friday and Saturday. Veggie Crust will deliver within a two-mile radius.
