Art for Education Fundraiser

Agassiz Preschool, an arts-based, parent cooperative located at 184 Summer Street in Somerville, is hosting Art for Education, a dynamic and creative fundraising event happening Saturday, May 14th 2016, from 2 to 5 pm. 


The Art for Education event is organized and hosted by the kids, parents, and teachers of Agassiz Preschool, and is open to the school's neighbors and the general public. The event showcases local and "repurposed" art in a fun and relaxed silent auction, from which all proceeds go to supporting enrollment of community children at Agassiz.

Attendees can enjoy live music, sample delicious fare from a variety of Somerville's culinary masters, sip tasty local brews, and exchange a monetary donation to the Agassiz Scholarship Fund for fabulous artworks and arts-related services provided by the artists, artisans, and "amateur collectors" in our community. Afternoon events include drawings to win gourmet food baskets filled with delicacies from local vendors and restaurants.

Come nourish the development of creative, independent minds and a sense of community, while supporting local businesses and buying great art! See you on the corner of Spring and Summer Streets!
