Assault And A Breaking And Entering Spree: Somerville Crime Log
The following events were reported to Somerville police recently.
SOMERVILLE, MA — The following reports were received by Somerville Police between Tuesday, Feb. 3 and Monday, Feb. 9.
Tuesday, Feb. 3
10:35 a.m. — Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering at an apartment complex on Day Street. According to the property manager, the storage area in the basement was broken into and a package was stolen. The person was soon identified by officers.
4:40 p.m. — Police responded to a report of an assault from a man. The man said he was punched in the face by another male while using the bathroom at the West Branch Library.

Wednesday, Feb. 4
8:04 a.m. — Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering at an apartment complex on Mystic Avenue. Police spoke with someone who said a man broke into the building and opened multiple packages. The man was soon located and apprehended.

Thursday, Feb. 5
7:30 a.m. — Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering at a residence on Pearl Street. Officers spoke with the residents who said a man was in her kitchen cooking food. The person was captured immediately and placed under arrest.
Friday, Feb. 6
1:40 p.m. — Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering at a residence on Bromfield Road. The resident reported that his front door was kicked in, however nothing was reported missing or stolen.
Monday, Feb. 9
12:24 p.m. — Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering at a residence on McGrath Highway. The female resident said she heard a knock at her door and then footsteps by the back door.
10:50 p.m. — Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering at a residence on Caldwell Avenue. Police spoke with a resident who said she found a man in her living room who had broken in. She got into a physical struggle with him before he fled from the home.
