Assembly Row Armed Robber Wanted By Police
Police said the man robbed a jewelry store of thousands of dollars in watches Thursday afternoon.
SOMERVILLE, MA – Police are searching for an armed robber who stole thousands of dollars worth of watches from an Assembly Row jewelry store Thursday afternoon. Police said the man entered Kay Jewelers around 2:24 p.m. and handed a shopping bag to the manager. He allegedly showed a 1911 .45-caliber gun and told the manager to "fill it."
He allegedly fled the store three minutes later, running into a parking garage and then leaving Somerville on the Orange Line, according to police. The store estimated $30,000 in watches was stolen.
The suspect, who police described as white or Hispanic, is believed to be the same man who robbed the Shaw's at Twin City last week, police said.
