Assembly Row Beer Garden To Return Soon

The American Fresh Beer Garden, which became a brewhouse last fall, will come back for one summer only.

SOMERVILLE, MA – An Assembly Row favorite will return this summer, but its comeback will likely be short-lived. The American Fresh Beer Garden, which closed last fall and became the American Fresh Brewhouse, is re-opening in the cargo container pavilion.

It could be here as soon as this week, according to an update on the American Fresh Facebook page. An official opening date has not been announced, but the staff is aiming for sometime in the latter half of the week.

American Fresh Beer Garden called it quits in the fall, extending its closure throughout October as temperatures remained unseasonably warm. Shortly after, Slumbrew opened American Fresh Brewhouse at 490 Foley St., which features 24 draught lines serving Slumbrew beer brewed on-site.

Somerville Brewing Company co-founder Caitlin Jewell said in February the plan now is for the beer garden to just open in 2018, as plans to build on the land were delayed by a year.
