Assembly Row Beer Garden Returning This Summer

The future of Slumbrew's American Fresh Beer Garden remained unclear after it closed last fall ahead of the brewhouse's opening.

SOMERVILLE, MA – Longtime regulars of Assembly Row's beer garden will see the return of their favorite outdoor drinking spot this summer. In a Facebook live video last week, Somerville Brewing Company co-founder Caitlin Jewell said the beer garden will return this year with "bands and bocce and fun," according to Eater.

American Fresh Beer Garden called it quits in the fall, extending its closure throughout October as temperatures remained unseasonably warm. Shortly after, Slumbrew opened American Fresh Brewhouse at 490 Foley St., which features 24 draught lines serving Slumbrew beer brewed on-site.

Unfortunately, the beer garden's triumphant return will likely be short-lived – Jewell said the plan now is for it to just open this year, as plans to build on the land were delayed by a year, Eater reported.
