Bambara Hosts Margaritas y Mariscos Locales
Chef Jay Silva Combines the Flavors of Mexico and New England with Prix Fixe Feast

Bambara’s Executive Chef, Jay Silva, invites diners for Margaritas y Mariscos Locales, a festive, five-course meal celebrating the season’s best local seafood with flavorful, Mexican influences. Creative margarita pairings from Beverage Manager Christopher Huarte put an untraditional spin on the classic cocktail, crafted to pair harmoniously with Silva’s spicy, sea-centric fare.
WHAT:
Guests are invited to join Cambridge restaurant, Bambara, for Margaritas y Mariscos Locales, the revival of their cult-followed annual margarita dinners, now with a fish-forward twist. Chef Jay Silva will pay homage to his New England roots and summers spent fishing on Cape Cod with five courses of New England seafood in flavorful Mexican preparations like ceviche, Swordfish in mole sauce, and shrimp and avocado guacamole. Three of Silva’s courses will be paired with a seasonal margarita from Bar Manager Chris Huarte, incorporating fresh produce, mezcal and tequila.
Chef Jay Silva’s menu will include:
• Tortilla Chips with Smoked Maine Shrimp and Avocado Guacamole
• Island Creek Oysters “Ceviche”
• Snappy’s Lobster Tamales with Roasted Corn Salsa
• Grilled Block Island Swordfish with Mole Sauce, Rice a la Rose and Roasted Poblano Peppers
• Fried Ice Cream
