Big Apple Circus Opens At Assembly Row In April

The Big Apple Circus was renewed for its 40th anniversary season after it was sold last year.

SOMERVILLE, MA – Big Apple Circus will hold its Boston performances at Assembly Row starting April 7. The circus will celebrate its 40th anniversary with a number of high-flying performances, including an appearance by Nik Wallenda, "The King of The High Wire."

According to the Big Apple website, Nik and the Fabulous Wallendas promise "feats of daring never before seen under the Big Apple Circus big top." No seat is more than 50 feet from the ring, the site said.

Other acts include juggler Gamal Garcia Tuniziani, contortionist Elayne Kramer, trapeze artist Ammed Tuniziani and more. Click here for the full list of acts.

The Big Apple Circus was sold in early 2017 after filing for bankruptcy the previous year. As part of the sale, it was renewed for the 2017-18 40th anniversary season.
