All Clear At Tufts After Bomb Threat, University Says

SOMERVILLE, MA — People are being warned to evacuate areas of Tufts' Medford and Somerville campus due to a bomb threat, the university said on its emergency alerts Twitter page Wednesday afternoon.

The alert mandated immediate evacuations from Ballou Hall, Miller Hall, and Campus Center, and asked that people take their belongings with them and avoid the area. The school tweeted just before 5 p.m. that all three facilities had been checked and no threats were identified.

Normal activity was cleared to resume, but the university said the incident remained under investigation.
