Boston Restaurant Eyeing Somerville For Expansion
The Downtown Crossing eatery is looking to move into a recently closed space in Davis Square.
SOMERVILLE, MA — A Southeast Asian restaurant in Boston's Downtown Crossing is eyeing Davis Square for a second location. Grainmaker is seeking a license to open in the now-former Amsterdam Falafelshop space, Boston Restaurant Talk reported, citing a post on the Davis Square Facebook page.
Amsterdam Falafelshop closed over the weekend after seven years on Elm Street. Grainmaker, which opened in 2017, offers rice bowls, street tacos, salads and banh mi, according to Boston Restaurant Talk.
The restaurant would be located at 248 Elm St.
