Join us for a two part delicious program of food-themed musical favorites!
Get ready for a delicious musical adventure! Opera Untapped and Little Songbook Opera present Food Fight!, part of our new Untapped Adventures in Our Little Songbook series of playful, interactive performances for children and their grown-ups.
Featuring three opera singers and a pianist, this 30-minute program brings classical music to life through songs inspired by food. Children can create their own donut art, explore a hands-on Play-Doh activity station, and walk away with a sweet treat!
Designed for all ages, Food Fight! invites children to play, explore, and engage with live classical music at their own pace. Whether they’re listening closely, joining in, or diving into the activities, children are welcome to be themselves and discover that classical music can be fun, surprising, and for everyone.
Featuring: Anna Gaddie, Soprano; Abbey Engelmann, Soprano; Laura Beth Couch, Mezzo-Soprano; and Liz Derstine, pianist.

About The Z Word
Chaotic bisexual Wendy is trying to find her place in the queer community of San Lazaro, Arizona, after a bad breakup—which is particularly difficult because her ex is hooking up with some of her friends. And when the people around them start turning into violent, terrifying mindless husks, well, that makes things harder. Especially since the infection seems to be spreading.

Now, Wendy and her friends and frenemies—drag queen Logan, silver fox Beau, sword lesbian Aurelia and her wife Sam, mysterious pizza delivery stoner Sunshine, and, oh yeah, Wendy’s ex-girlfriend Leah—have to team up to stay alive, save Pride, and track the zombie outbreak to its shocking source. Hopefully without killing each other first.

The Z Word&nbsp;is a propulsive, funny, emotional horror debut about a found family coming together to fight corporate greed, political corruption, gay drama, and zombies.

About the Author
Lindsay King-Miller is the author of The Z Word and Ask A Queer Chick: A Guide to Sex, Love, and Life for Girls Who Dig Girls. Her fiction has appeared in The Fiends in the Furrows, Tiny Nightmares, The Jewish Book of Horror, Fireside Fiction, Baffling magazine, and numerous other publications. She lives in Denver with her partner and their two children.

Join New Normal Comedy, BARCC, and All She Wrote Books for a night of standup comedy on Friday, October 23rd at 7:30pm! A lineup of Boston’s best and nerdiest comics who definitely think the book is better than the movie will be riffing about all things. 

The night will feature a 90-minute standup comedy show and content will be adult-themed and discretion is advised.

A portion of ticket sales will be donated to Boston Rape Crisis Center (BARCC).
