On May 5, River Bar at Assembly Row will celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a collection of south of the border menu features. Available indoors and outdoors overlooking the Mystic, the Mexican-inspired specials come threefold.
The kitchen will dish out two types of tacos: Carnitas with braised pork butt, lime crema, grilled corn, pickled onions and chicharones ($13) and Braised Chicken with grilled avocado cream, fried jalapeños, radish and queso fresco ($13).
From the bar, the specialty cocktail will be The Bulldog Paloma, River Bar’s twist on the classic Mexican cocktail with silver tequila, lime, agave and Stiegl Radler with a salted rim ($10).
