Cinema Somerville Film Festival Lineup

The film festival celebrates Somerville's 175th birthday with a day of shorts about the city's history and culture.

SOMERVILLE, MA – Cinema Somerville Film Festival will be held this Saturday, May 6 at Union Square Plaza. The festival, presented by the City of Somerville in collaboration with the Somerville Arts Council and Somerville Media Center, will feature short films about Somerville music, food, politics and history.

This year's theme is "Somerville old and new," in honor of the city's 175th birthday. Early arrivals will have the opportunity to share funny, interesting stories about living in Somerville at the city's story booth. Carolicious, a Venezuelan duo featured by the Arts Council's Nibble culinary entrepreneurship program, will cater food at the festival.

The story booth begins at 7 p.m. and the festival runs from 7-9 p.m. Here's what will be screened:
