Davis Square Falafel Shop To Close

A chain of falafel shops is shutting down its Somerville location at the end of the month.

SOMERVILLE, MA – Amsterdam Falafelshop in Somerville Davis Square will shut down at the end of the month, according to Boston Restaurant Talk. The shop first opened in 2012 and was the first of two to come to the area.

The chain, which has locations in Washington, DC and Miami, also had a shop in Kenmore Square that shut down two years ago, Boston Restaurant Talk reported.

Amsterdam Falafelshop announced the closure on Facebook, writing,"Please take advantage of the last few weeks of service and come into the store early and often, order catering platters for your local events, and please tip our loyal staff a little extra as they transition to new ventures. We are off to new ventures with family and business and will never forget our time in Davis Square."
