Davis Square Shuffle: Businesses On The Move

A couple of storefronts are changing hands and some are rumored to be expanding.

SOMERVILLE, MA – A chain reaction of moves and expansions is coming to Davis Square, but don't worry, it won't cost you any of your favorite stores. According to Eater Boston, When Pigs Fly is moving its Somerville bakery in mid-February from 378 Highland Ave. to 241 Elm St., the one-time home of Julie's Nails.

Meanwhile the salon, which closed on Elm Street Dec. 30, will reopen at 237 Highland Ave. before Feb. 1.

Opa Greek Yeeros, which sits in the same strip as the current When Pigs Fly location, is expected to expand into at least the Maximum Hesh space, which has remained vacant since the skate shop's closure at the end of 2017. Mexican restaurant Tenoch, located down the street from Opa at 382 Highland Ave., is rumored to be expanding as well, Eater reported.
