Is Deli-icious in Davis Square Closed?

SOMERVILLE, MA – A Davis Square hotspot has been closed this week, and rumors abound that the shuttering may be permanent.

The curious closing of Deli-icious first appeared on a Davis Square Live Journal thread, where one poster wrote that it was closed throughout last weekend and into Presidents' Day and had not reopened Tuesday. The same poster walked by the deli Wednesday morning and wrote that the coolers inside were empty.

A source told NBC Boston that Deli-icious had indeed closed, and the network stopped by to see for itself, reporting that the coolers were bare and chairs were on top of tables during regular business hours.

Patch placed a call to the deli on Wednesday, and no one picked up. As of Thursday, the exact fate of Deli-icious remains up in the air.
