Embroidered Truths & Woven Tales

Fiber arts exhibition opens at the Nave Annex in Davis Square

This eclectic exhibition explores the way that 16 artists use fiber techniques–embroidery, crochet, knitting, weaving, soft sculpture–in combination with traditional or unusual materials – silk, salvaged or repurposed items, yarn, hair, and printed paper – to reveal a hint of a story or tell an elaborate tale. The work ranges from elegant to rambunctious; themes include family history, environmental activism, gender politics, and more.
