COMING OUT/EXPLORING YOUR SEXUAL IDENTITY GROUP The Coming Out Group is a 12-week psychoeducation and therapy group for adults of all ages, genders, and sexual orientations, who are at varying stages of discovering their identity and coming out process. The group will provide a safe and supportive space for members as they figure out ways to express their identities to others in their lives. With a curious spirit and a commitment to authenticity, the group will also learn mindfulness strategies that will boost members’ self-confidence and capacities for self-care during this stressful life transition. Using discussion, skill-building exercises, and movie clips, we will identify common myths and beliefs about sexuality and acknowledge the complexities of how people identify themselves across the lifespan. We also will talk about ways to create healthy relationships with family members, co-workers, partners, and ones community. If you are wanting to explore your identity as a gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, or questioning person, we invite you to join us. There will be no pressure to come out and the group is confidential. Registration Required - Please call 617-331-5939.
