Kick Off the 2010 Shift Your Shopping Campaign with a Bike Ride!

CELEBRATE WALK/RIDE DAY WITH MAYOR CURTATONE, LOCAL BUSINESSES

 

 WHAT:

Find out what's happening in Somervillefor free with the latest updates from Patch.

Join Mayor Joseph A. Curtatone and Somerville Local First for the November Walk/Ride Day, and help kick off the 2010 Shift Your Shopping Campaign in Somerville.  Mayor Curtatone and local community members will participate in a bike ride beginning in Davis Square and ending in Union Square, with stops at local businesses.

Walk/Ride Day occurs the last Friday of each month, and encourages residents and commuters to walk or bike to work or school.

The Shift Your Shopping campaign encourages shoppers to stimulate the local economy and job growth within the City by shopping local.

Begins at Davis Squared, 409 Highland Avenue

Ends at GRAND, 374 Somerville Avenue
