Everyone is invited to join us this Saturday, Aug 13th from 10-11:30 am at the air-conditioned Arlington Senior Center behind Town Hall on Mass Ave (27 Maple) to experience an exercise program designed for home practice to combat osteoporosis, build strength, and tone the body. Leg weightsprovided for first 15 students; you're asked to try to bring your own hand weights and a yoga mat (though some will be onhand). Those who can't afford the $8 drop-in should contact the instructor in advance. For those who can't make it, we'll have some informational meetings in September after which Arlington Community Recreation will sponsor the prestigious Miriam Nelson, Ph.D. of Tufts University's evidence-based program, "Strong Women (and Men), Strong Bones" on Wednesday evenings 6-7:30 (beginning Sept. 21) and Saturday mornings 10-11:30 (starting Sept 24). Limited number of spaces. Contact B.Freedman at bflowyoga@gmail.com with queries.
