The April meeting of the Somerville Garden Club features a lecture by Jesse Banhazi, co-founder and owner of Somerville-based Green City Growers. Jesse will offer solutions for city gardeners hoping to grow their own food utilizing the porches, roofs, and small yards that constitute "farms" for urban dwellers.
The Somerville Garden Club meets the second Wednesday of every month; all meetings are free and the public is invited to attend. Parking is available, and the building is a ten-minute walk from the Davis Square MBTA station. Meetings begin with club announcements, followed by a question-and -answer plant roundtable, a lecture or demonstration, and conclude with a raffle of donated plants and garden-related items.
