Woodworking Intensive

Description:

In this class, students will learn the basics of how to design and fabricate professional, long-lasting shop furniture out of wood. Students will work together to create one large, 40' long work table for the woodworking shop area at Artisan's Asylum, which will be designed to last 5 years or longer. Students will fabricate perfectly level torsion box work surfaces, several cabinetry carcasses and cabinet doors, a downdraft table and more over the course of the session, and the final product will be in active use by the rest of Artisan's Asylum for years to come.
