Fatal Stabbing In Somerville: Local Man Arrested, Charged
A Weymouth man died after the stabbing Monday night at a Main Street laundromat.
SOMERVILLE, MA — A Somerville man has been arrested and charged following a fatal stabbing Monday at a Main Street laundromat, according to the Middlesex County District Attorney's Office.
Police responded to the Spin Cycle Laundromat, 6 Main St., near 7 p.m. Monday on a report of a stabbing. They found Joseph Muzzi, 33, of Weymouth, wounded at the scene. Muzzi later died at Mass General Hospital.
Police arrested Darien Burns, 53, of Somerville, at the laundromat on a charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury. He was set to be arraigned Tuesday in Somerville District Court.
