GLX Tree Clearing Moved Up To This Weekend
The work, originally scheduled for 2019, is expected to last through the month.

SOMERVILLE, MA – Tree clearing for the Green Line Extension project in Somerville has been moved up to this month, according to MassDOT. Work will start weekends beginning Aug. 4 and continue through Aug. 26.
Work hours will be 6 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. It will take place on the west/south side of the right-of-way between Washington Street and Broadway.
The work was originally slated for 2019 but has been advanced to address tree/rail safety concerns, MassDOT said.
