Holiday Events At Assembly Row In Somerville

Get in the holiday spirit with these upcoming events in December.

SOMERVILLE, MA – Head down to Assembly Row this season for a host of events to get you in the holiday spirit. The Row on Thursday announced its 2017 holiday events schedule, which includes a live ice sculpture stroll, pet photos and a procrastinators-only last-minute shopping celebration.

Here's a look at what's ahead this holiday season at Assembly Row, according to a press release:

  • Nutcracker Window Display and Holiday Photos: Through a partnership with the Boston Ballet, Assembly Row will create a Nutcracker-inspired holiday window display and pop-up shop at 431 Artisan Way. The window display runs from Nov. 23 to Jan. 2, and shoppers can take photos with the Nutcracker bear on December 9 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. All proceeds from sales will benefit the Boston Ballet.
  • Holiday Music: Assembly Row will be hosting holiday music on the deck on Saturday, Dec. 9, 16 and 23 from noon-4p.m.
  • Santa Paws: Pet lovers can take photos with Santa on Sunday, Dec 10 at 431 Artisan Way – while supporting a good cause. Photos range from $10 to $20 and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the MSPCA Registration.
  • The Somerville High Ice Sculpture Stroll will run Friday, Dec. 15 from 6-9 p.m., and feature students creating ice sculptures and competing for prizes. At locations around Assembly Row, students will carve ice creations, while shoppers can watch the competition, vote for their favorite designs and enjoy giveaways, including candy canes and hot chocolate. In addition, Earls Kitchen + Bar will be donating a portion of the proceeds from special menu items to the Somerville High Culinary Program.
  • The Stroll kicks off a 2018 mentorship program between Earls Kitchen + Bar and the Somerville High Culinary Program. The program will include workshops and hands-on experiences for students in the Earls kitchen with professional chefs, and opportunities for professional growth in that field.
  • Super Saturday: Procrastinators won’t need to fret. Last-minute holiday shopping on Saturday, Dec. 23, will include a live DJ playing holiday music and flash sales across The Row.
