ICYMI: 'Shark Tank' Holding Open Casting Call In Somerville
The show's staff will be at Canopy City next week to hear pitches.

SOMERVILLE, MA – Budding entrepreneurs in the Somerville area will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas for a spot on "Shark Tank." The ABC show will hold an open casting call Monday, July 17 at the Canopy City space on Tyler Street.
Attendees will have the opportunity to give a one-minute pitch of their business, product or idea to a member of the casting team – just as they would on the show. To apply at an open call, participants must fill out an application packet, which may be downloaded here. It must be completed and brought to the casting call.
Open calls are available to the general public. Attendees must arrive during the allotted "Numbered Wristbands Distributed" time and receive a wristband in order to pitch.

Now in its ninth season, "Shark Tank" offers aspiring entrepreneurs the opportunity to pitch their business ideas to a panel of "shark" investors, who then decide whether or not to invest. Monday's casting call will be the final open call for the upcoming season.
According to a release, attendees will have time to go back to their vehicles to get any large props or equipment after receiving their wristbands. There is no guarantee of access to power, internet or any other audio-visual equipment. Only one business, product or idea may be pitched per person.
