Kmart Closings: Mass. Outlets Largely Unaffected
The fallout from the retailer's closure of more than 60 stores will not be felt in the Bay State, save for one location.
Big-box retailer Kmart will close 64 of its outlets this year and lay off thousands of its employees, according to a new report.
Business Insider spoke to employees at the outlets, who confirmed that the stores would be closing by December. However, Kmart has yet to issue an official statement on the closure.
Kmart has several locations in Massachusetts, though according to Business Insider only one will be impacted by the cuts.
