"Lollipops for Breakfast" by Bonnie Duncan of the Gottabees

You can’t have lollipops for breakfast! But today, Sylvie decides she’s going to break that rule, even if it means she has to make her own amazingly perfect lollipop from scratch. Come along as she and her trusty pet bird search for missing ingredients, wrestle with giant candy machines, and get lost in a magical pop-up cookbook. The performance, told entirely without words, features multiple styles of puppetry, original music, and a tiny bit of acrobatics. Since 2013, The Gottabees have been making super fun theater for families, inspiring homemade puppet shows, and selling out venues throughout the US and Canada.

About the Series
As the summer season approaches, the Somerville Arts Council continues with one of its popular city-wide event series: Puppet Palooza! Events like this, along with PorchFEST and Dancing in the Streets allow the community to participate, interact, and engage in non-traditional ways in untraditional venues while cultivating the idea of Somerville as a cultural arts incubator without walls.
