Bicyclist Killed by Commuter Rail in Somerville ID'd

Police have identified the man as having a last known address in Cambridge.

A bicyclist was struck and killed by a commuter rail train Sunday afternoon in Somerville, Transit Police said.

The man was identified Monday as 31-year-old Jean Leonard. Leonard's last known address was in Cambridge.

Leonard was struck by an outbound Fitchburg Line train in the area of Park Street. Police say he went through the gates, which were in down position for the approaching train.
