Mexican National Sentenced To Prison After 5th Re-Entry Into U.S.
A 30-year-old man living in Chelsea had been deported four times, authorities said.

CHELSEA, MA – A Mexican national was sentenced Tuesday in federal court in Boston for illegally re-entering the United States after being deported multiple times, the U.S. Attorney's office said. Juan Carlos Cervantes-Rivera, 30, who was living in Chelsea, was sentenced to eight months in prison and one year of supervised release.
He will be subject to deportation upon completion of his sentence.
Law enforcement found Cervantes-Rivera in Cambridge last October and found that he was not legally in the United States, according to the USAO. Authorities determined he had been previously deported four times, the USAO said.
