More Thai Street Food Coming To Somerville
A noodle shop plans to open in Davis Square on the heels of new Thai restaurant Kor Tor Mor.

SOMERVILLE, MA – Somerville residents are about to get another helping of Thai street food. Noodle shop DakZen is eyeing a summer opening in Davis Square, replacing a not-yet-named restaurant in the neighborhood, according to Eater.
DakZen is holding off on sharing details about its location and opening date until the restaurant announces its closure. Dishes will be customizable, street food-style noodle soups where customers can choose a bevy of noodles, broths and toppings, Eater reported. The restaurant will also feature signature soups and noodle dishes.
The opening of DakZen comes on the heels of Thai eatery Kor Tor Mor, which ushered in the Thai street food era in Davis Square late last year. The College Avenue restaurant puts an emphasis on Bangkok street foods like Khao Na Kai – chicken sautéed with house sauce, Chinese sausage and fried egg atop a rice plate – and roasted duck on rice known as Khao Na Ped.
