Mystic Avenue Lane Closures Rescheduled
Weekend weather forced the delay of Rt. 138 construction.

SOMERVILLE, MA – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) has announced that due to weather conditions this weekend, scheduled overnight paving operations at the intersection of Route 38 (Mystic Avenue) and Temple Street/Temple Road in Somerville will now occur on the evening of Monday, June 25.
Work will occur from 8 p.m., Monday, June 25, through 5 a.m., Tuesday, June 26. In order to allow crews to safely and effectively conduct operations, vehicular traffic on Route 38 (Mystic Avenue) will be temporarily reduced to a single lane in each direction. Operations may also require short term closures of Temple Street and Temple Road, and traffic will be detoured to adjacent local streets during these times.
Signs, traffic control devices, and police details will be used to guide drivers through the work zone. MassDOT encourages drivers to reduce speed and use caution and allow for extra time through this area. All work is weather dependent and is subject to change without notice.
