Need a solution for that funky skunky smell?

Springtime unfortunately brings skunks out from their winter slumber. While we hope none of your four-legged critters have an unfortunate encounter with a skunk, we thought it was a perfect time to share a recipe that will remove that lovely skunk odor just in case.

Skunk Recipe:
Mix in a bucket. The mixture will fizz. DO NOT PREMIX.
1 quart 3% Hydrogen Peroxide
1/4 cup Baking Soda
2 tsp Dawn Liquid Dish Soap

Application instructions: Apply skunk mixture before wetting animal. Soak the animals fur for 20 minutes with the mixture. Use a sponge to clean the head and around the eyes. For the rest of the body, knead the mixture into the fur thoroughly. Rinse well with water.

Avoid contact with eyes! If the mixture gets in your animals eyes and the eyes appear red and/or swollen please contact your vet.
