New Bar Could Open In Longtime Joshua Tree Space This Fall
The Davis Square watering hole closed in June after 20 years.

SOMERVILLE, MA – A new bar moving into the longtime Joshua Tree space in Davis Square could be opening soon. According to Boston Restaurant Talk, a job post on Craigslist points to a fall opening for the Elm Street Tap Room.
The Joshua Tree closed in June after 20 years and transferred its alcohol license to the Elm Street Tap Room. The new spot will be operated by Hawkeye Hospitality, which runs Worden Hall in South Boston and both Five Horses Tavern locations, Boston Restaurant Talk previously reported.
The Joshua Tree first opened in 1997, and another location opened in Allston 10 years later. The Allston bar has since closed.
