New Brewery Headed For Somerville
Remnant Brewing is expected to open at Union Square's upcoming Bow Market.

SOMERVILLE, MA – Somerville's upcoming Bow Market, an ambitious project converting an old storage building in Union Square to a row of dozens of vendors, will also have its own brewery. According to the Boston Globe, Remnant Brewing is slated to take over a large chunk of the market, with an interior of over 2,000 square feet and 1,000 square feet of outdoor space.
The brewery is the brainchild of David Kushner and Joel Prickett, alums of John Harvard's Brewery and Lord Hobo, respectively. Rounding out the team is head brewer Charlie Cummings from Mystic Brewery in Chelsea, the Globe reported.
As far as selection goes, pick your poison. Kushner told the Globe the brewery plans to offer saisons, IPAs, sessions, sours and stouts. All-day coffee service will also be available.

More than two dozen new businesses are planned for Bow Market, and some could open by the end of the year, according to an earlier Boston Magazine profile on developers Matthew Boyes-Watson and Zach Baum.
The space can hold 32 storefronts, and vendors will mainly be signed to short-term leases. In addition to the revolving door of options and the now-confirmed brewery, a theater and "one or two" brick-and-mortar businesses are planned for Bow Market.
