Nizhoni Health Names New Director of Human Resources

Somerville, MASSNizhoni Health is pleased to announce that Suzanne Wilson has been named Director of Human Resources. As one of the largest homecare providers in the state, Nizhoni Health provides an alternative to hospitalization for clients with the most acute needs – including those suffering from chronic illness, psychiatric or cognitive issues, as well as those requiring a lengthy recovery period.

As Director of Human Resources, Wilson and her team will work under the direction of Executive Director Sonia Sieger, to enhance Nizhoni Health’s administrative and clinical staff and to establish additional benefits programs for employees. Wilson will also be responsible for talent management and growing company culture.

“Suzanne will play a crucial role in our organization by leading the implementation of many of the changes that we want to make in order to strengthen our internal structure and help us grow,” says Sonia Sieger, Executive Director of Nizhoni Health. “We’re excited to have Suzanne on our team and look forward to doing great work and building an even stronger, innovative team together.”

Additionally, Wilson will establish a workforce management program to ensure Nizhoni Health has the best employees, in the right positions to grow its business. They will streamline the backend processing functions through the robust ADP implementation to allow their HR staff to focus on the value added activities that will help their employees perform at a high level.

In addition to her new role at Nizhoni Health, Wilson is an adjunct professor at Emmanuel College School of Management teaching courses in Human Resources Management, Leadership and Organizational Development. She also serves as an adjunct professor at Endicott College’s Van Loan School of Graduate and Professional Studies teaching courses in Human Resources Strategy, Culture Development and Benefit Administration. She also teaches a 12-week Society for Human Resources Management Certification Prep course for HR professionals at both Curry College and Middlesex Community College.

Wilson joins Nizhoni Health after serving twelve years at MiddleOak Insurance, most recently as Senior Vice President of Human Resources. In her role as Senior Vice President she developed and oversaw the company’s talent management strategy and worked to ensure a positive and responsible corporate culture, while overseeing all administrative functions of the human resources department for the company of more than 400 employees. During her tenure at MiddleOak she was pivotal in regaining the title as the Boston Business Journal’s Healthiest Mid-Size Employer, two years in a row. Wilson earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science & Sociology from Fairfield University and has a Master of Arts degree in Education, Human Resources, Training and Education from Boston University. Wilson currently resides in Reading, MA.
