North End Restauranteur's Assembly Row Spot Now Open

The new Italian restaurant honors the area's automotive history.

SOMERVILLE, MA – An alum of the North End restaurant scene has opened his newest venture at Assembly Row. Jeff Malloy, who ran Carmen in the North End, is behind the new La Cucina Italian Eatery, according to Eater.

The layout of the restaurant honors the area's automotive history, Eater reported. The interior includes a vintage Ford logo and old pictures of the Ford Edsel, a model that was once manufactured in Somerville.

Its menu features linguine with clams, lasagna, rigatoni bolognese, spice crusted tuna, grilled swordfish, a cocktail and wine list, and more.
