Obituary: Antonio Venturo, Owned Ball Square Italian Bakery
Venturo, of Medford, died unexpectedly Saturday, Dec. 13. He was 89.

Antonio C. “Tony” Venturo, 89, of Medford, died unexpectedly Saturday, Dec. 13, in the Tufts Medical Center, Boston.
Born in Italy, he lived in Medford since 1986 and was formerly of Somerville. He was the son of the late Concetta (Colasante) and Paolo Venturo. Antonio was the proprietor of the former Ball Square Italian Bakery in Somerville for 20 years.

Beloved husband of Esterina (Balerna) Venturo. Devoted father of Maria Plunkett and her husband Jim of Wakefield and Paul Venturo of Somerville. Loving grandfather of Holly Kane, James Plunkett, Ashley Dobbs and Shelby Vermillion. Loving great grandfather of Scarlett and Vivian Kane. Brother of Gabriele Venturo of Melrose and the late Vincenzo and Angelo Venturo.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, Friday at 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday, 4-8 p.m. Services will conclude with entombment at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, Malden.
