Obituary: Former Alderman Tom Taylor

Longtime Somerville Ward 3 Alderman Tom Taylor passed away on Wednesday, March 11, in Florida, according to reports from both the Somerville Times and Somerville News Weekly.

Taylor served on the Somerville Board of Alderman from 1983 to 2013. He was 63 at the time of his retirement, and had been diagnosed with cancer, as Patch reported.

Upon Taylor’s departure from public service, Somerville Mayor Joseph Curtatone described him as the “epitome of a public servant,” who will be “sorely missed on the Board of Alderman.”
