Obituary: Germaine Robillard, Retired Somerville School Secretary

Germaine T. (Gay) Robillard, 84, a lifelong resident of Somerville, died on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015.

Germaine was the beloved wife of Edward W. Robillard and the loving mother of Eileen T. Robillard of Somerville and Edward W. Robillard Jr. of Londonderry, New Hampshire. She was the sister of William J. Gay of Medford, Walter A. Gay of Branford, Connecticut, Claire M. Norris of Norton and the late Mary G., Frank A., John J. Jr. and Marguerite M. Gay. Germaine is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The funeral procession will begin from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway, Powder House Square, Somerville, on Tuesday morning, Jan. 20, 2014, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Clement Church, Somerville, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held on Monday, Jan. 19, from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Winchester.

Prior to her retirement, Germaine was a secretary for Somerville Public Schools for 21 years. She also worked as a secretary at St. Polycarp School in Somerville for many years.
