Opening of Slumbrew Beer Garden at Assembly Row Delayed

The entire SOMBLOX portion of the new development is delayed.

The opening of the Somerville Brewing Company, aka Slumbrew, beer garden at Somerville’s Assembly Row development, as well as the entire SOMBLOX area, is delayed, according to a post on the development’s Facebook page (see below).

The SOMBLOX area is going to be made out of four renovated shipping containers and house two businesses in addition to Slumbrew’s beer garden, which will be called American Fresh Taproom. It’s going in at the corner of Grand View Boulevard and Canal Street, across from Saks OFF 5TH. It was expected to open Aug. 2.

A new Orange Line stop, Assembly Station, opened at Assembly Row Tuesday. Once complete, the development will have 400,000 square feet of retail space, 2,100 residential units and 1.75 million square feet of office space.
